RETICAP - Realtime Compound Action Potential Recording Software
RETICAP ("Real-time Compound Action Potential" recorder) is one of the many software projects which have been initiated during past research and developed ever after (the others will eventually appear here when formatted for to be launched as an open-source project). It aims online-averaged recording of peripheral Compound Action Potentials (CAPs) with proper realtime triggering of an external analog stimulator (in our case it is a Grass S88). RETICAP is somewhat superior to conventional recording software that it makes use of a hard realtime-enabled kernel providing microsecond-level jitter. The realtime loop i.e. corresponding to a hard realtime loop rather than DMA makes it possible to design complex closed-loop protocols, e.g. modified by the features of actual signal being acquired.
RETICAP should be compiled/installed on a working Linux system with RTAI and COMEDI preinstalled.
You can access the current source code snapshot of RETICAP at the respective Github repository.
